Scripture - Tradition - Reason - Experience
There are many ways that we learn more about who God is. As United Methodists, we believe that scripture is our primary source to knowing and learning about God's interactions with humanity. In addition to scripture, we value tradition, reason, and experience as other avenues that inform our knowledge of God and help us to develop a relationship with God.
We believe that it is important to develop our connection with God and explore new ways to deepen this connection. All of us are in different places in our journeys, but the heart of God is the desire for relationship. So Christ meets us on whatever road we travel. Therefore as a community we seek to connect with God through our relationships by studying scripture together, engaging in theological conversations, and through our own personal journeys.
